A Checklist of what you should be looking for to see if someone is a perfect rider



Rating 1 - 10


1

How well the rider uses all five controls mixing and blending them to make the bike go faster, slower and to set up the suspension.

How well the rider moves on the bike for accelerating, braking and cornering.

How well the rider is looking ahead going through the corners, whoops, etc.

How well the rider utilizes the track to maintain momentum and planning ahead.

How well the rider uses the balance point on the bike to execute all his movements.

How well and how much the rider stands to optimize strength, having more suspension and keeping a lower center of gravity.

How much the rider uses lower body to control the bike.

How well the rider controls traction for braking, accelerating and cornering.

How well the rider uses his feet to use the controls, to keep the body movement forward and maintaining contact with the bike. (E.g. riding on the balls of the feet 60% of the time) and squeezing the bike with knees.

How well and how much the rider uses his elbows to work with the bikes suspension, keeping the shoulders parallel with handle bars and allowing the rider to use more upper body strength.
